My name is Johnny Savage, and I am the author of a book about being lost at sea. April of 1998, the fifty-six foot Sportfishing vessel Anhinga was struck by a rogue wave ninety miles offshore of Key West, Florida. The captain and I had to fight to survive while in the shark infested Bluewater of the Gulf Stream. Our rescue was an absolute miracle.
This book explores the ultimate nightmare for a mariner or any person that goes out on the open sea. Lost in the Stream explores the will to survive and the thoughts that go through the mind of a person, when death by drowning or being eaten alive by sharks is only a short matter of time. Yet over incredible odds the crew of the Anhinga lived to tell the story and change the sport fishing industry forever.
